Silent Voices, Loud Echoes
is designed to showcase the talents of African American
artists in the city of Philadelphia. In celebration of
The African American Museum in Philadelphia's 30th anniversary,
this exhibition will depict artists' interpretations of
Black History, Black Pride and Black Beauty in various
mediums. African American artists have been at the forefront
of documenting and interpreting the

Black experience in Africa and its Diaspora. Their impressions
provide glimpses of black life. The works will display
individual perspectives in reference to historical events,
historical figures, everyday life, and aesthetic values.
Artists' statements will reflect the genesis of their
creativity and their worldview. |
